Popham Airfield

It was a very windy night that they all just seemed to fall over.

Well known, popular and affordable (for greater London area) airfield with two grass strips. Curiosity: Trees that used to make landing difficult in the early days where only possibly to remove due to a legal loop hole: tree protection orders in UK are re-issued every so often, but it lapsed just before xmas holiday and the owner knew the issuing authorities were all off and wouldn't return to re-issue another one until the new year so he managed to cut down the offending trees in that time.
