The Learjet 35 is a light business jet that became one of the most successful corporate aircraft of the 1970s and 1980s, combining transcontinental range with the speed and handling that made the Learjet name synonymous with executive aviation. Introduced in 1973 as a stretched derivative of the Lear 25, the Model 35 added four feet of fuselage length to accommodate eight passengers while retaining the distinctive delta fins and powerful TFE731 turbofans that gave it a maximum cruise speed of 529 mph and a service ceiling of 45,000 feet.
