Railway line
Luckily (or maybe not) the rail transport is not that advanced and under utilised and you could wait all day to see a train!

Rail line crosses the runway
If you zoom in on the satellite photo a bit, you can see that the Palmerston North-Gisborne railway line crosses the runway.
