The Rockwell Commander 200 is a single-engine, four-seat retractable-gear aircraft produced by Rockwell International between 1976 and 1979 as an entry-level model in the Commander line. Designed to compete with the Piper Arrow and Beechcraft Sierra, the Commander 200 featured a 200-horsepower Lycoming IO-360 engine, constant-speed propeller, and a distinctive high-wing configuration uncommon among retractable singles. Its spacious cabin and docile handling made it popular with owner-pilots seeking a step up from fixed-gear trainers, though production ended after just three years when Rockwell exited general aviation manufacturing.
