The Tecnam P2006T is an Italian light twin-engine aircraft that entered production in 2007, designed by the Pascale brothers at Costruzioni Aeronautiche Tecnam. Built around fuel efficiency and modern training economics, the P2006T features twin Rotax 912S3 engines (each producing just 100 horsepower), making it one of the most economical piston twins in operation. Its high-wing configuration, composite construction, and side-by-side seating for up to four occupants position it as both a multi-engine trainer and a light utility aircraft for short-haul operations. What sets the P2006T apart in the light twin category is its remarkably low operating cost, burning roughly 20 liters per hour combined, about half the fuel consumption of legacy twins like the Piper Seminole or Beechcraft Duchess.
