The Socata Rallye is a French light aircraft family that carved out a distinctive niche in European general aviation from the 1960s onward. Built by Socata (later part of the Aérospatiale and EADS groups), the Rallye series was designed as a rugged, forgiving trainer and tourer with excellent short-field performance thanks to its leading-edge slats and generous wing area. The MS-893A Commodore 180, the most common variant under the A210 designator, features a 180-horsepower Lycoming O-360 engine and fixed tricycle gear, offering a blend of docile handling and practical cross-country capability that made it popular with flying clubs and private owners across Europe.
